New information about our Solar System has led astronomers to question Pluto's status as a planet. In this Planetarium show students are taken on a journey by Lucy Leavitt, on board a research craft heading to the outer limits of the Solar System to gain data to silence recent debate questioning Pluto’s status as a planet.

The Problem with Pluto challenges students to question the recent International Astronomical Union’s (IAU) – whose mission it is to promote and safeguard the science of astronomy – decision to classify Pluto as a dwarf planet.

All Planetarium shows conclude with a staff guided 'What's in the sky tonight' presentation.
